I could swear I used to be able to put in text in the search box on the parts page and get back a list of items that I could select from.  Today I was looking for passenger car window strips.  I tried 'window strip' and nothing came back.  I then tried 'passenger' and got back a listing of passenger cars.  On many of them 'window strip' is listed as a part.  Am I doing something incorrectly?  Is it possible that not all text is being indexed within the search engine? I contacted Lionel help already, but it seems that they didn't understand what my question was - they told me to search by number.

In "Customer Service" "Replacement Parts" try inputting the part number of the car (6-xxxxx) and see if it pulls up the illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) for the car. This has worked for me on locos.

Thank you iguanaman3.  Boy, am I the dummy!  I didn't realize it was broken into product and parts.  I bet in the past I searched at the engine level or road name level and when I found something, I probably did use the part number. The poor person at Lionel probably assumed I was using the correct 'search by' and wondered why I was having such a difficult time finding what I wanted.  Thanks to all for taking the time to answer.
