Not quite finished with this desk top mini diorama of Hy-Cube with auto frames being unloaded . Waiting on the fork lift to come in .

It has lights in the building , and on the dock which is close clearance . Still need to weather the building and take pictures in natural light this week end. This is the hardest scheme to do , but is my favorite.

In production now , Rock Island 4 and 8 door in bankrupt blue , NYC in 8 door , 2 Wabash 4 doors and  GTW  blue 8 door.Pictures to follow.

This is the first car I have built with open doors and interior , the photo's show both sides of car , lighting is bad for pictures, all resin cast , brass detail parts , all hand made except the trucks and brake wheel , couplers , and the chain for the tiedowns and the auto frames. This is the "Hy-Cube Hydra Cushion scheme for Cotton Belt, SP  also had "Hy-Cube Cushion Car", as seen in the photo of a PACCAR with ladders and running boards circa 1964 as per SP website photos.

Now on real Canadian National/Grand Trunk Western freight trains the 60' Auto Parts Box cars were gradually taken out of service starting in 2000, then by 2007 there were none left.  What is left are all of the 86' Auto Parts Box Cars. In order to model the real trains on the Grand Trunk Western since the late 1960's to present day many of the 86' Auto Parts Box Cars are needed in O Gauge GTW and Conrail trains.

The Pullman-Standard and Thrall Car 86'Box Cars are great, especially with opening doors. I would like to have at least one of the 4-Doors per side version for Detroit & Toledo ShoreLine. I would have to scratchbuild it or buy a kit sometime. They would most likely cost $150-$200 if they were limited to small production runs.

Thank you for the photos.

Andrew
