If you have the opportunity, get the kits you want from Raggs to Riches. They have posted on their website that they are greatly reducing the scope of their business. So, many of their kits may not be available in the not so distant future. They may appear pricy. However, from what I've seen, they are a great deal of kit for the money. Buy some now and maybe they'll reconsider their plans.

Two nice coaling tower kits showed up on eBay recently but somebody was trying to block bidders out.  One was the Gloorcraft one, and I don't remember the other but it was not common. Suncoast Models makes (made?)a small "modern" concrete Fairbanks Morse coaling station kit that shows up on eBay or I ought to sell mine.  I used a K&P Brick and Building Co. "Harry Jones Coal Company" coal bunker kit and modified it to serve locos on one side and trucks on the other and underneath, with the overhead Scaletrax track permanently mounted in it.  Lionel makes a "modern" (latter days of steam) round, conical "concrete" coaling tower kit that goes for big bucks on eBay. Luckily I found a cheapy incomplete one and restored it, although I'd rather have a small one with a wooden bunker.  I just need three, for

the end of line terminal, the junction with the Class 1 RR's, and the coal and logging

branch.

Speaking of Suncoast, I kitbashed one of their icing platforms (with a bigger ice house) and have two more untouched kits, as I thought the platforms would be too short.

They are 30" and work for me and I can just use the one I built.  And if you have

Atlas reefers, you need an icing platform.
