Looking for some help Wiring A Whistle for prewar Flying Yankee 616W | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have a flying Yankee that I finally picked up a whistle for. My question is where does the wire that usually goes from the whistle unit to the pick up rollers on a tender , go to on the motor unit of the Yankee? any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe it would go to the same solder joint terminal as the headlight wire.

thanks Ill give that a shot. Im guessing its getting its ground from the screw to the shell of the body?

There should be a second wire coming from the

track contacts on the motor. One goes to the e-unit

other goes to whistle motor relay contact.

Sorry for the late reply. I just got one and having trouble

running it on A/C V type transfomer runs great on D/C converter.

No mods done all original that I can see. I don't know.
