ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV) - A Brentwood man has been arrested and charged Thursday after attempting to steal a toy from the Big Bend Railroad Club earlier in the week.
According to an investigation by the Webster Groves Police Department, on September 13, police were called by a witness who saw a person hammering and using a blow torch on the building door for the train collecting club, Big Bend Railroad Club.

Well, I think most of us, from time to time, have hoped the younger generations will develop an interest in model railroading, but I don't think this is exactly what we had in mind! 
The club should count its blessings as things could have gone very wrong during the attempt to break into the building - it could have caught on fire! Then it would have lost everything.
So many Dum Dum's out there nowadays.

A club in Indianapolis resides in an unmarked, nondescript building in a sketchy area. A few years ago, some "kids" broke in. They apparently were disappointed to find electric trains rather than stuff they could turn into easy cash, so they discharged several fire extinguishers inside the building, creating an unbelievable mess. Fortunately, insurance paid for the cleanup.
