Note in the pics that the plate that holds the picks shoe has one tab broken off, the toothpick is pointing toward it. Any suggestions for repair or where to order a new part ,also how do you remove the piece, do you just spread the sides and it will pop out?

Just spread the side frame apart to get the old one out. If you aren't worried about appearance, just super glue a piece of phenolic material to the base to recreate that tab. It just keeps the shoe from falling down and will be hidden by it.

I repaired my Marx 666 with a touch of JB Weld that had the same problem. That was...three years ago and is still running like a Marx.
The collector on the 333 is the same as that used on all 666, 1666, diesels and all post war 999's. Grossman as noted is my go to guy for parts, but I have also epoxied on a piece of material to replace the broken part. If you repair it, best to epoxy the piece on the side of the sliding shoe, not the top side. If you do the repair on the topside, it may restrict the shoe from making contact with the track.
