Yeah, a joke...what l need is a wiring diagram of a Marx #999 motor and chassis. I want to build a 2-4-4-2 with two in tandem, and wonder if you can run the two off one Marx reverse unit, or, more likely, use an electronic accessory one?

A little more info:. I have a donor #999 motor and drivers with the e-unit and bulb socket missing. Three wires are sticking up, and no wires are connected to the sliding collector. Want to get this to run, first, and then in tandem with another chassis. But first need it ro run independently. So.. need wiring diagram..
This is from Robert Grossman's Marx Parts Catalog. I don't think you would have any problems using the Marx reverse unit to run two motors.

Anybody who wants to Duplex or Articulate Marx PW steam is my kind of guy. Go for it.
The Marx e-unit or a new electronic one will both do; say, why not an ERR AC Commander while you're at it...?
Pictures, eventually, I hope.
(I built a "666" Pacific using 2 spliced/extended PW 666 boiler shells and a modern "K-Marx" 333 4-6-2 chassis; old outside; modern underneath.)

Now, that's a Big Boy. CGI - gotta love it.
Overland Flyer: l guess you had to use the 0-34 Marx curves in your layout, to get that around?,😀,,, I built a Marx Mikado, simple build with an #1829, an axle and rods from another, and two wheel front and rear trucks, a #999 powered steam dummy, and a steam coach, but this will take more engineering. Thanks, MILNYC, for the diagram.
I got the two chasses, coupled, and to run together, forward!, with schematic,as l removed reverse unit from second chassis, but don't want to disassemble chassis with reverse unit to identify wiring l need to lengthen to provide reverse for second unit. All motor wires disappear between motor and reverse unit. Schematic is not clear for identifying reverse unit to motor wiring. Due to height of motors, it will be interesting cramming them under a boiler so they will turn with the track. That is next problem....
Did you ever get this working?
Sadly, not yet working, as l wandered off to build a "printed" McKeen car "kit" , hurriedly, that is being more carefully rebuilt. What radius curves does that 2-4-4-4-4-2 run on?

John Lebaron has some youtube videos of some Marx E7 AA unit customizations he did with two powered A units both running of a single e-Unit. I am not sure how he wired it.
