The 8601 engine and tender set was the last new product from Ameritrains. The 611 used all existing parts except for the streamlined cowl in place of the stack and domes. Not bad for not creating a whole lot of tooling. They went out of business before they could make it into any sets or get any matching cars into production. These are cars I made using graphics created by Wayne Beachey. A very hard engine to find.
