Tried looking for a book on the McCoy current selling prices/values but could not find any.
Various auction site have the prices all over the place as it seems no one knows what the McCoy trains are selling for.
Yes I m getting caught up on the McCoy trains, they are really well made and look great!
Do not know if I will keep them or use them for trading purposes.

Did anyone ever publish a book or pocket guide for McCoy trains?

Here are the cars I have so far:

Thanks Steve.
Since the prices for items are all over the place there is no reason why someone a lot of monies for a car (sellers are shooting for the moon but will settle if they land in Kansas).

What should be the average price for a McCoy car?
I have been buying McCoy cars for under $30.00 including shipping, is this good?

I also looked at other McCoy forum post and liked the modifications on taking a car and converting to a engine/doodle bug/powered street car.
Just have to keep a eye out for standard gauge motor with wheels or a o gauge prewar engine and extend the ales for standard gauge (know there is some of this info on previous posts).

Club cars should be in the $20-40.00 range, some can be harder to find so cost will vary. Non club cars will move up, depending on what they are. Beer cars will be quite a bit more. I've reached the point that the ones I don't have, but want are going to be pricey.

As to a motor for a project car, I'd go with the Ira Keeler under floor motors, they will fit into your existing McCoy truck with the only mod being removing one pair of wheels and the axle.
