Member locations

It would be nice to see where a seller was from, to help estimate shipping cost.

I would very much like to see this feature. The member "view as map" is just a useless tease. I want to know who else lives in Minnesota, not that there are 85 of them.

You haven't looked lately, the number has swelled to 88. Beyond letting one know how many members live in a given state, country or region, the map is worthless. 

Yeah Jon, I just looked after I wrote that. Now I really want to know who those 3 are!!!

This request assumes that each member here has actually listed the correct state in which he lives.

Given the concern about internet security prevalent these days, I suspect that MANY people have listed a bogus address in their profile.

Rich I think the number of members listing bogus addresses is smaller than you think

Ive found over the years that Toy Train Guys are usually pretty reliable and trustworthy.

What about the trolls that continue to pop up here on the OGR Forums?

born and raised in chicago. currently living in el paso texas for the moment (unfortunately). nearly impossible to find other train freaks out here.

Gee Jack, I've found this forum to be one of the most troll free zones on the net. Rich and Co have done an excellent job in that regard. 

I'm with Popi on this. If people were really listing bogus states, we would all claim Pennsylvania or New York on our profiles. Honestly if you want to remain anonymous, you should not be on the internet.

It's a nice idea, but not one that I can implement. This would have to go to Hoopla for development.
