Picked up the Menards 16 pack of cars. They work well with the Lionel and Atlas Auto Carriers. I plan to get several more boxes. The detail is adequate for being in the carrier cars, on the loading ramp, and in the staging area.

Thanks for the heads up. Makes sense, though since [generally] European 1:43 cars are even smaller than 1:48 US cars.
Good use of them.
Here's a pic of the Buick from Menards in the Lionel carrier.
Notice how there is room on either side, so that the person driving the new car onto the carrier can get out without going through the sunroof!
1:48 is a beautiful thing...
