I'd be tempted to get this set of I knew for sure the engine had the valve gear linkage and wasn't the cheesy version. Anybody have this set, or bought it as a gift?
I would manage the expectation a bit at this price point. Good price for a starter set for sure.

Hard to believe they used the "deluxe" version at this price point.
The two flatcars offered are carry-over items from 2012. At least the red flat with cinderblock load is. Hopefully the other flatcars supposedly on the way will be of new designs. Good prices on those, especially to attract the newbie train set buyer in theri retail stores.

I got the red flatcar last year also, Dave. I like the cinderblocks.
I found last year's video on the Milwaukee set, I think I'm gonna get one.
