Here they are guys, all but the Valvoline tankcar. Great colors for the Christmas season I would say. Also the new Menards 2019-2020 catalog is out ,which also includes the world's famous Menardsville.

Thanks !!
for you history buffs. notice the Bill Of Lading on the boxcars..
I’m interested in the West Virginian, CB&O. Thank you Bob and Mark
The M&M boxcars look fantastic, they won't collect dust on the store shelves.
Neat! Now, I've got a hankering for peanut M&Ms.
Bob - will the catalogue show up as a magazine pull-out anywhere ? I thought it might have last year ?
I think I spotted a string of M&M hoppers passing as I sailed under the CSX (ex RF&P) bridge over the Occoquan River.
My train club just bought the Dog Food Factory, Sprecher Brewery and Morrison Door Factory.
Like all the tank cars but not the gold one.

It should be in the Dec. issue in CTT

Cool, maybe I can get one that way!
I picked up a Conrail hopper at Menards tonight, and there was a Penn Central that fell into my cart also. The PC hopper has a very faded greenish blue color, I may give it some CR merger over paint in a few spots. Will mix in nicely with the mix of PC CR rolling stock.
I'm surprised no one noticed the UTLX tank car yet. How many times before has someone said words to the effect of "If only they'd make a typical black tank car like the ones that appeared in endless strings of during WW2".
That's certainly who I thought of when I saw that one amongst the fantasy schemes...

It was mentioned several times in another thread. If they have any on the shelves in Chilicothe when I am there next week to pick up a "deliver to store" on-line order, I will get at least one; more it the tanker appears to be easily converted to two-rail. One minor observation; the conspicuity stripes would not be present on "the ones that appeared in endless strings of during WW2."; they are fine for me.
I tried to order a tank car and the website STILL says it does not ship to California.
The Menards guy said previously that Menards was now shipping to California.
What is going on? Why isn't this fixed?

There might be more somewhere else in the store but we put the last silver M&M boxcar and the last M&M hopper car on the shelf at the Massilon, OH store in our shopping cart today. There were two yellow boxcars remaining, we left them on the shelf, the yellow trucks just don't work for me.
Bad thing is those two train cars weren't the only things that went into the shopping cart, and we didn't buy everything we thought about getting, ouch!

I put a dealer pack of the tank cars in my cart and was able to order from CA. Haven't been able to in the past.
Thank you Menards for the black single dome tank car, not to complain however the yellow stripe would not have been on the tank car from that period. please make them without the stripes and multiple numbers and you will sell a bunch of them.

Yes however without the yellow modern stripes! and the Bar code and only some had the hazard plaque! I also believe the lettering would have been white.

If you want, you can peel off the bright yellow strip. Underneath it is a very faint yellow stripe. If the numbers dont please you, you can also carefully take those off too.. lots of people requested a black tank car and here it is, you can customize it the way you want. It's only 19.99....
Dad, two questions. Is the catalog in stores and will the catalog be in CTT like last year.........Paul ( son # 1 )
Paul 2, I seen where Dad said it would be in the Dec issue of CTT. At least your lucky you can get one, There is nothing here on the west coast for Menards! Wish there were!

At $20/car, I probably would have bought another car with either black or silver trucks, and swapped the trucks. Or painted them.
Paul 2, suck up! LOL

Yep, would take about a minute to paint the trucks a rusty brown.
I'm vying for Son #56 or #57! I'm in the large group of wannabes who only has about a dozen Menards cars, less than a half dozen trucks, and a couple buildings!

Two M&M cars is more than enough for us no need for swapping or painting trucks. YMMV.

Thank you Bob, good to know. I will buy a few and play around with them.
