As many tracks as you can fit.
Here are a few pics from my in-progress Millhouse Turntable install and Korber Roundhouse...
As Marty said if you can place as many tracks as you have room for. Do a search on the forum for Millhouse Turntable and you will see more examples of what others have done. I have the 34" version also with the auto-indexing option.
This turntable has been rock solid since day 1 and the customer support that Al offers is 2nd to none! You won't be disappointed.

I suggest that you contact Al Z. directly, as he is VERY helpful.
The indexing, if you choose to use it is way finer that the amount of tracks that will fit. If you can fit them, you can index to them.
Physically, you can get as many as 60 leads into the turntable. They would be spaced 6 degrees on center. The tracks would have to be longer in order to get sufficient clearance between adjacent tracks.

Okay, i could only get 41 trains on it. I had a lot of fun indexing!! LOL I started but every time I went back to the setting it was off. It turns out that the set screw on the turntable was loose . I found out that its easier to lay the track as you are programing. I started by laying track then trying to program, but indexing it was to much work. So I started over.
Glad it's done!!!!
