Has anyone modified one of these? I really like the looks of the old Atlas 2 stall shed but can’t find one for the life of me so wondering if anyone has changed an MTH one up some. I really like the Atlas roof and feel like the MTH is just kind of plain to look at. Pictures are a plus if you have, or if you have a lead on an Atlas shed would be even better but not getting my hopes up on that haha. Thanks!

It seems IHC made the original kit and Atlas bought it. An IHC kit was sold on eBay in March. Also the Heljan B 1042 kit seems to be the same model. I didn’t find any of the three available, but it might expand your search. I’d be patient. The MTH building is not the same.

What’s that shed on the right?

The shed on the right is a pretty rare Darstaed tinplate lithographed engine shed. This one is dual and extra long. It's modeled after a Hornby engine shed, which is easier to find. The Darstaed is nicer in my opinion, because it has great lighting and nice lithograph details on the inside.

I like that Dewey! Did you just use styrene sheeting for the white part?
Dewey - that kit bash is sweet!
Joe
Lance - if you like the Atlas O style what about Korber Models
Lancer
Ho scale corrugated sheeting, light gray color.
Thanks for the ideas all! I’m liking the MTH price but with Deweys twist.

Now I really like that too! How’d you make the stacks?
Well they are 4" tall wooden lighthouses from Michaels craft store, I cut the cone off the top, drilled a hole down the middle part way and attached to roof with screws. I added construction paper to look like rolled roofing.

This is why I love this forum, everyone is so creative!

Hi Joe , thanks for the comment. As you can see from the photo background my Car Barn conversion occurred before all of the structure work you did for me (photo below). My little attic operation has been dormant since you did outstanding units for me on the corner Denim Mill and associated buildings..
A "small stroke" and related health issues ( hand tremors, balance, etc,) ended my layout work although thankfully my cognitive impairment has improved since. I still enjoy the OGR Forum and take note of your structure work for others.
I am still vertical(mostly ) at 88 and and can still power up and run a Locomotive back and forth. Stay safe!
