Modifying conventional for command control

1. Get a TMCC or Legacy system.

2. Hook up a single wire from base to an outter rail.

3 Plug the base in to an electrical outlet(Must be a three prong GROUNDED outlet).

4. Turn system on.

5. Program an ID into each locomotive that you want to run.

6. Have FUN in Command Control.

TMCC/Legacy Really is that simple

You dont have to modify your layout to run TMCC engines.(if that is what you are trying to do)Your TMCC engines will run on a conventional layout.Just make sure the switch underneath is in the run position.

Yes your TMCC engines can run in conventional if you want, or you can add the Command system as Doug stated.  When in command the track gets 18Volts all the time, so you don't want your conventional trains on the track at the same time.  With Command you can switch back and forth easily.  G

I recently took my Legacy system to a local retirement home train club to demo command to them.  It really is as easy as Doug says, it took all of five minutes to connect up, then I plopped a few command locomotives on the track, and we were running command.  They were blown away, and they're saving for a Legacy system.
