Modifying the RailKing 30-4064-1 Philadelphia Brill Semi-Convertible Trolley
I recently purchased the RailKing 30-4064-1 trolley. However it is a "dummy" non-powered version.
My plan is to add a detailed interior and overhead lighting. I will also add LED headlights.
Since the unit is a "dummy" the interior can be viewed through the windows without any obstructions. I will also add a "ceiling" with overhead lighting. Visitors to my O scale "railroad museum" will be able to tour this classic trolley in its fully "restored" state.
I will remove the "silhouette" window material and replace this with clear window glazing. This model will be added to my O scale Railroad Museum.
The J. G. Brill Company manufactured streetcars and buses in the United States. The company was founded by John George Brill in 1868 as a horsecar manufacturing firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, merged with the American Car and Foundry Company (ACF) in 1944 to become ACF-Brill and ceased production in 1954.
