It is truly amazing at all the wonderful products that are there, and people! It is a great time and needless to say my wallet was a lot lighter when I left!
it was a great show with so many choices that it was hard to decide what to buy. brass, ready to run, kits, parts and everything from atlas F9's to old all nation and Hines locomotive kits to the latest and greatest from 3rd rail to Kohs. and if you are a kit builder there was hundreds of kits to build both passenger and freight.
if someone is doubting about two rail its far from dead as you can see from the large number of people in attendance.
Then who took the photos?
It was well attended and I enjoyed being one of the young people in the room, too
OMG!! I walked by the Hill's Hobby tables about 214 times, and failed to notice the Rock Island articulated, stainless steel passenger car set. When did Pecos River do those? I must have been asleep at the switch when that occured!
I missed a good one. Thanks for the pictures.
Where is Hill's Hobby?
Hill's Hobby is long defunct as a store. Mike Hill, an owner from way back, still appears at this show and occasionally appears at the near monthly DuPage County Train show just west of Chicago.
By the way, don't assume that all the attendees at that show were 2-railers. I went, and while I do own some 2-rail equipment, I only run 3-rail.

Guys,
The photo that Erik posted showing some passenger cars with the roofs removed were not brass cars but styrene!!!!! The fellow at the table was showing his prototype cars and techniques he's using to create cars that look like they are made of metal. I could not believe it at first. However he showed what they were like before and after they were painted up.
I had a great time and Erik also caught me in the act purchasing some photos from the same table that the brass cars were for sale. I'm a 3-Railer with 2 Rail tendencies. I guess one day I'll cross over onto the "Dark side". I found some excellent deals and the vendor from Scotland that Erik has a photo showing the underside of an engine, was truly amazing. Such detail and superb craftsmanship. He is Kohs rival and in my opinion his better. He only models English trains at this time.
