We were at the show. Great layouts. Whole gym full of O scale trains!

I think that Tom McComas built a rotating layout like that one to film locomotives for his videos and DVD's. The locomotive runs and smokes and the scenery passes. A mountain prevents viewers from seeing the other end of the train.
Matt did you take that photo at 6am? There's almost nobody there at that hour. 
Just watch the first few seconds of this video. I always wondered how Lionel did this in perfect synchronization.
