More steam

It depends on what you have now.  There are a number of "tuning" steps that can be taken if the smoke is sub-standard.

The loco is new and is operated with Lionel's CW-80 Transformer.The smoke fluid is Mike's mega steam brand.

Are you running conventional or command?

I'm running conventional right now,but will be using the universal remote soon.

I would say running conventional or not enough smoke fluid is the issue.

I have the 10 wheeler from the year before and it smokes great in command. The recommended 15 to 20 drops of smoke fluid is not enough.

I did around 30 drops or so and it smokes great along with the whistle steam. 15 to 20 drops of fluid is not enough in a new fan driven smoke unit.

Just my opinion and experience.

Yes, the Universal Remote runs with full track voltage all the time.

Don, a Legacy locomotive has three smoke settings - low, med, high. They come from the factory in low. You cannot adjust the setting conventionally. I don’t know about through the universal remote or the Bluetooth app.  If not, find a buddy with a Cab2 and use it to adjust it to high. It should retain the setting thereafter.

Actually, unless something changed, I believe conventional runs them on Medium Smoke Level.

Lionel locomotives come preset with the smoke settings on High when using Lionels bluetooth app.

At least that has been my experience with Legacy, Lionchief Plus as well as Lionchief Plus 2.0

I have had the same experience with my MTH locomotives using the DCS app.
