Its been a long time that a catalog has impressed me, and one that is thinking of downsizing my layout. There's a lot here that wets my appetite. Good job MTH.

I wasn't expecting much, but I was still let down. Not a single scale-wheel steam engine to be found. No new tooling that I saw. A couple of freight cars maybe interest me but as a 2R'er now I find it difficult to be interested in MTH. EL and GN F7s might be of interest, but with Scott @3rd Rail also doing F3s I think I'll continue to support him since he is investing and bringing out new models every year.

One MTH practice that bugs me is taking a 3R Diesel, giving it Proto 3/2 trucks and Proto 3 electronics, but not giving it fixed pilots or full length handrails. And, not even making those parts available so one has to fabricate them. Ex, The SD40-2. I would consider a couple but with 3rd rail possibly doing them I'll just wait for the superior model. I know 2R is a smaller portion of the hobby, but I can't for the life of me understand why MTH keeps giving us models that are 8 or 9/10ths complete and then wondering why they don't sell.

Same old stuff; a GS-4 Daylight again and it still doesn't have a brake hose on the pilot. Their Ho and Gauge 1 daylight engines do.
