Hello,
I have been using the MTH DCS remote for a while now and I have been having some problems. I added an 18v light bulb to the terminal block and have several lock ones on my layout and I still get the check track or engine not on track when running my trains. Also in addition to that, when I'm running the trains, I go to accelerate or decelerate and the train speed only moves one or two positions at a time.  Also, when electing one of the soft keys, it lags and takes a couple seconds to do the function. I was wondering if you have ever ran into this problem before?
Thank you,
Josh

Are all engines doing it?  If only one be sure the connection from the tender to the engine is tight.

Other ideas:

How is your track wired.  Is each feed on it's own block/isolated section.  If all of your track is electrically connected, not just by the TIU?

Some LED passenger cars, cabooses, and Legacy engines will mess with the DCS signal.  Remove everything from the track except the engine.

How big is your layout?

What rev level is your TIU?

Was it ever working correctly?

More information about your setup would help us help you.

Dan

I do have passenger cars on the layout and the layout isn't that big. It's an L shape 9' by 8' by 5'.  It happens with every engine and I can only run two at a time and I have two 100 watt transformers powering it. I just changed the batteries in the remote because I thought it was the same thing. No it had not done this before.
