I have a the MTH DCS with full app, I want to add a Lionel legacy Berkshire and I would like to know what pieces I would need to do so. I have a Cab 1 base attached to the tiu and would like to keep the option to run tmcc locos too.
1. Can I just use my cab 1 base
2. Can I just add a lcs ser2 module and get full legacy
3. Or do I need a cab 2 base no matter what

You need a Legacy 990 system. LCS does not work with a TMCC base. While the DCS App does work with TMCC to get Legacy features you will need the 990. The 990 will still control your TMCC engines as well.
The TMCC base will also control the Legacy Berk in TMCC mode (no Legacy functions).

He'll also need the SER2 to get the DCS App to operate Legacy engines in Legacy mode, as well as the connecting cables.

Since he mentioned adding the SER2 module I guess I felt he knew that already.
