This must be an easy answer that I have overlooked.

I can add an engine and it starts up but after I shut off power and the Remote; on restarting the Remote and turning the power back on the ENGINE IS NOT ON TRACK. I can readd the engine, it's found and comes up on a new address but after a shutdown the engine is no longer found on track.

Is this a battery problem?

Sounds like a battery issue to me. Is it a PS2 or PS3? Do the sounds shut off immediately after power is killed from the track?
