MTH is set to ship some heavy duty snow plow cars in September. In the photos you can see a headlight on the car. Now nowhere in the features does it say anything about an operating headlight. Does anyone know if they are going to have operating headlights? Or are they just going to be ornamental?

Only plow I have is a rotary, Light works on that.
I have an earlier version of this plow. The light works on it.

If you are talking about the Jordan Spreader, I got the BNSF one from a catalog or two ago and it has a working headlight and also a light in the cab. Just got it out and put it on the track to check.
Look at the picture in the post, it's not the Jordan Spreader. You can probably make that headlight work if it doesn't.
Looking closely at the pictures, there appears to be wire going from the rear truck to the body. Presumably this would be to power the headlight, unless this model has other features that need power.

Yikes, didn't even see the pictures, all I saw was the WP & Yukon logo...old and blind!
I see it now, Thanks!
MTH just posted on Facebook a photo of the Alaska version of this snow plow, and it shows the headlight is lighted.

Takes care of that question!
Has anyone ever actually used on of these for snow removal on an outdoor layout? I wonder if it would work.
