I have recently purchased and MTH F-3 HO DCS scale diesel... I have run MTH OScale for many years. Do the HO DCS engines have a battery installed in them like the O scale models?

No there isnt any battery They are PS3 They have capacitors

I have a few MTH HO engines and had a Mikado that I sold to a young fella in our club. The Mikado is VERY impressive and sounds/smokes like it's larger brethren!
Also a UP ABBA set that smokes and sounds well but the smoke is pretty weak. I have two sets on Santa Fe F3/F7 that are beautiful with their 'stainless' panels on the sides but haven't run them yet.
