Got my MTH 30-1574-1 'J' engine at York ( dealer sold it a good price beating the online people)!!
Runs great, only problem is setting smoke off. Set smoke to minimum on DCS contrioller, and wonder if turning the tenders smoke control fully counter clockwise will really kill all smoke without damaging the smoke unit if wanted for future use? Or did I miss a menue item for smoke off?
Second got the full size auxiliary water tender at show (better than nothing), but can't find if MTH made a railking semi scale one. I tried different words in the MTH product locator but doesn't seem to find anything. Suggestions?
Finally I did not find a warranty registration card in box. The York dealer said engine was test run and flanges and rollers show no signs of wear so will assume engine is mint condition as such. Can I go to MTH website to register engine (I do have dealer receipt)?
