Try to look them up on the MTH website. If you find it click on the Support tab and look for the Manual icon. It looks like an open book. If it’s active you can click on it to open the manual.
I wish MTH would un gray the gears before they shut down. I would like to print some parts lists and owners manual's.
If the gear icon is gray, there probably never was a parts manual. They did make some parts guides in 2015. Other than than, best you can hope for is a parts manual for a similar loco.
Heck, they wouldn't even answer a request for a Rail King part number over a year ago, even with the model # and full description and an offer to send a picture.
Factory service in o gauge sucks compared to the responses I got from N scale manufacturers.
I have saved every Manuel on the MTH web site to my desk top to include all the currently available parts and operating Manuel’s for every MTH product I have. All can be downloaded in PDF format.

Any thoughts about creating an inventory list and posting it?

Paul what kind of inventory list are you referring to? I have downloaded each operating manual for each locomotive or piece of rolling stock or accessory I have and than they have parts manuals divided by product line Railking Steam, Railking Diesel, Railking Freight Cars, Railking Passengers Cars and then they do the same for the Premier line in the same fashion. Now the parts manuals are up to 2015 with a statement they are to be updated at some point. But something is better than nothing.
Looking at the website nobody would even know they are shutting down in a few months. Other than a few brief messages, they haven't been forthcoming with much post shut down info. Maybe they will put out some more information when they get closer to closing. It could be that they are still hoping that a buyer will keep them in business.

While my initial thought was to do something online- similar to this website of the now out of business K-Line: http://www.legacykline.com/apps/kl/kline_ui.html
For a while it kept going offline. I got tired of trying to use it so I eventually downloaded all the webpages and put them into one massive spreadsheet. Recently it has been online reguairly so my spreadsheet isn't needed, but I'm keeping it just in case. Their website wasn't everything in the 1999-2005 catalogs, but was better than nothing.
Not sure you would be able to post the MTH stuff due to copyright. However, after they are officially out of business, who knows what.
Is there anyway to down load this to a disk? I'm not sure how to do that.

Wishful thinking Mike.
If you can download a PDF to your computer, you should be able to burn it to a disk or copy it to a flash drive.

Yes i can do that. Wasn't sure i could, thanks.
Not necessarily manuals but I've been downloading all the sound sets for Premier and RK engines/sets. I have organized them by board type and engine type. I included 5v upgrade files where applicable. I changed the names (mainly for passenger trains) with the name (in the PFA) and the catalog issued. Its quite a hierarchy but it works for me.
