I just received some MTH 20-64019 passenger cars from Mario's Trains and when I pulled one of the cars out of the bag, these fell out. I can't tell from looking at the bottom, where they came from. Can anybody help?
The upright or post part looks like it is slotted for a C-Clip, which might not have been put on correctly, and might be part of what fastens the truck assembly to the frame. But if so the truck would be loose, and while I have recently seen something very similar on a steamer trailing truck, I can’t say I have seen this on an MTH passenger car. I’ll look at one of mine later and see if that reveals anything.
Thanks for the info gang. I'm going to take it apart this weekend. I'll let you know what I find out. I suspected it was the roller spring, since it seemed loose compared to the other. I don't see any other loose parts, so hope I'm not missing the pieces that I need to fix it.
