Will all MTH PS1 boards the same will they do the same things accept for the chip? Trollies and pcc are the boards the same as a steamer or diesel board with proto !?

Yes the PS-1 boards are primarily the same and the chip controls what sounds and features operate. The bottom board is the power and motor driver board. The top board is the sound and logic board.
Having said that, there are revisions as they went and the earlier ones had less memory. Or some mods on how the wiring connected. By about 1997 they were pretty standard and functioned even on chopped AC. G
