Hello Everyone.

I would like to know if their is a way to turn the led lights on/off without adding a micro switch to the engine. I am almost positive you can turn them off with the F5 function button, however I do not run on DCC. I run my layout using (3) MTH 40-1000 Transformer.

Would it be advisable to invest in the MTH #501039 Protosound DCS WIFI Digital Command System 2 they are releasing soon? Not sure what to do and could use some advice. Any help the community can provide would be greatly appreciated.......Thanks

As delivered from the factory- correct, there is no mechanical switch and you need full DCS to be able to turn it off. I'm not even sure a DCS Explorer with Wifi (50-1035) can do it because of the limitations of the app when using that device do not allow all menus. Again, the problem is this was meant as a starter set entry level DCS option and a lot of menus and the app upgrade features are locked out.

Yes, the WTIU- 50-1039 is going to give you FULL DCS options and thus would allow turning those LEDs on or off for sure.
