I have a Railking F3 ABA set.  Sometimes when we make it a heavy long train it struggles to get up our hill.  If I use another MTH Diesel as a lash up, err I mean MU, then train will take the hill without a problem.

So I'm thinking... What if I bought an MTH F3 "A" unit either in rugged rails or railking and just swapped the shells with the Dummy "A" unit from the original ABA set?  Then lashed... darn I mean, put them together as a MU?

Does that sound reasonable or am I using too much logic?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Sure.  I am assuming this is a single powered A unit with dummy B an trail A.  You can easily add an other Lead A and create a MU.

MTH also makes powered Trail units that are slaved to the lead, but that requires tethers between units and a slave board in the Trail Powered A.  Than the Trail A mimics commands from the Lead A.  G
