There is a powered and dummy set of this on ebay now. But I never knew MTH got it so wrong with this engine. No gold stripe between the white band and black paint plus wrong font of lettering and road numbers. Glad I never bought this one based on the MTH catalog graphics. Did MTH make this mistake on any other Southern locos? http://www.ebay.com/itm/O-Scal...p2056016.m2518.l4276

Well given this is a Railking locomotive and not the Premier Line it's possible MTH was trying to keep cost down.......But I don't know if that a real fact.
The only way to know is MTH will have to make a Premier Line Southern RS-3 and see if the gold striping around the cigar band is added along with the correct font for lettering.
Well I have 3 Interstate RR Railking RS3s from about the same time and they look great and correct to me. I think everyone at MTH just overlooked this one,I have never seen anyone in any scale omit the gold stripe on a Southern unit. The only reason I bring this up is I hope this not selling well influenced their decision to make any other Railking Southern diesels.
Well now, don't forget that the Railking Line is not Scale and comes in many fantasy paint schemes
The Interstate RS3 from 2002 Vol2 catalog.No cost cutting here. http://s110.photobucket.com/us...36907163036565139822
