I have a few pieces of older MTH Railking solid rail track that have become corroded green and black. I can't get it off with a Scotchbrite pad or Neverdull wadding. Anybody know what will work? Thanks.

Also I'm just going to say this, that track has to have some serious corrosion to not be able to remove with a scotchbrite pad. Might not be worth the trouble. Again, you tried abrasive methods that already remove material from the rail, if it's that deeply corroded, might go to the big dumpster.
A benefit of using CLR is its non-abrasive.And a bottle is under $10. JohnA
What color Scotchbrite were you using? White, Blue, Green, Red? White is extremely fine but if you were using green, blue or red which is pretty abrasive (red especially) and it did not remove the corrosion then it may be time to replace like Vernon said.

Thanks to everyone. I guess I'll have to get new track.
