MTH repair

I know this is a long shot...but can anyone recomend someone in the NY metro area to repair an MTH loco.?I have not had very good luck with MTH service.I have a dash-9 with what i think is a shorted lead truck i want if fixed but don't want to go for an arm and leg...don't mind paying fair prices...thanks for any help....joe krasko
