Are the new upgrades PS 3 or not?

That should be stated somewhere when you buy the upgrade kit from MTH.

The diesel is pure ps3 the steam is modified and hybrid.  Uses bulbs but is ps3 based.  Do a search you will understand

While the diesel kit was daunting the first time, after doing a couple, I have a game plan to simplify the process. 

Marty has stated the diesel kits are going to be hybrid, should be in stock this spring.  I was able to get my hands on two of the full PS3 diesel kits for a project im doing.  Small wires don't scare me.  I deal with these size wires all the time at work.

Any pictures of these kits?  What's the deal? Hard to figure out wiring? 

No they are staying PS-3 with diesel.  Jason, is going for a different supplier to get a better harness.  One with a more pliable wire.  I have seen variations in that in some PS-3 diesels and looks much better.   G

It's a bit of a rats nest when you get them, and there are wires for every conceivable option.  It takes a while just to untangle the wires, and as per a suggesting from GGG, I remove any wires that are for options I'm not going to use.

George, I hope that sticks, because one of the nice things about the diesel upgrade is you do get the additional features.
