MTH WIFI, LIONEL SERIAL 2,LOSING WIU/TIU IN VARIABLE MODE

Hello everybody,

I have purchased the MTH Wi-Fi, Lionel serial 2 complete setup so I can run trains on my tablet. Everything is working fine on fixed one but when I go on to variable it works for a few seconds and then I lose my tiu / wiu? I am using a Samsung tablet which is Android. I did talk to MTH and they don't really know what is going on and why I am losing my tiu/wiu.

I get a note saying make sure my Android is connected to the same network as my wiu. This is really driving me crazy. Please help if you can.
