MTH Z-4000 Transformer (red light).

Does it display anything on screen?  Status of green light? Can be defective throttle pot.  Can be damaged control circuit. G

Hi these MTH Z4000 transformers can be repaired the bad thing is there very expensive to ship!

you may have a bad power supply, I repair these where do you live which state as George stated a gear could be out of adjustment but you have to be very careful taking those transformers apart or you can damage the boards wire harness is easily be  pinched when putting back together !

if you're coming to York you could bring the z4000 there could save you on shipping and not getting damaged in shipment!

So it is displaying software code and not coming out of reset.  So the Handle pots are a highly suspect item.  Not zeroing voltage.  G

I know this may sound silly but did you check to see if any of the 4 circuit breakers on transformer have popped.

What was the issue that you fixed?

The voltage pot got out of alignment with the gear on the handle.
