Add my name to the long chorus of well wishers, Marty. What an accomplishment. Few, if any layouts last continuously for that many years. It is a testament to your constant enjoyment and development of the hobby. WE are the true beneficiaries of your efforts.
Mazel Tov Marty! A beautiful layout that has really come a long way. I hope to see it sometime!

Hi Marty, thanks so much for the great story, I have to tell you, from your picture, I thought you were in you 30's or 40's. I wish I had a train room that big, boy would that be great but unfortunately I don't. Maybe that's a blessing for me though, I'll be 70 in August and would never be able to build a layout that big. Are there any pics of your layout, I didn't see a link to a picture.
Happy Anniversary and thanks for the great post about your layout and its progress and all that you have done over the years. Happy 4th and I hope its a safe one for you and all of the rest of the guys and gals on this forum.
OK, Your layout is 36 years old, Congratulations. Now lets see, how many times have you been to YORK?
Congrats to you and your layout, you are just such an all around nice guy...
Marty
Eddie, I have been to 76 York shows.
Sheesh....I just started my layout last year at age 64. For me to post that my layout was 36 years old, I'd have to be 100! I think some advances in medical science may be required to let me make that post! And I would NEVER trust myself to go to York. I'm a $pender (capital $). I'd be in hock for 2 years just to go to York once!
Thanks for all you have contributed to us newbies by sharing your experience Marty!

Happy Anniversary, Marty. You and your layout are pillars of the O Gauge community. Enjoy many more happy and healthy years of fun!
76 York's, cool. I've been to 1, last October, and I think I spent exactly what I thought I'd spend. Some stuff I wasn't looking for, but found out that it would go great with what I did pick up. It was great to see Marty get the OGR tire cover, and no better place for it.
Congrats Marty:
This YT Video tells your story the best way, seeing your layout....... LCCA Video
