My Lionel Legacy and TMCC engines won't respond using MTH Wi-Fi, lionel serial 2set up

Do you have a diagram of how you wired things together?  I did it following the directions in Barry's book and it worked on the first try.

If you post a diagram, maybe we can spot something wrong.

 I'm pretty darn sure I have everything wired correctly just in case what page are you referring to in Barry's book?

Attached is pictures of my wiring. I seem to get one TMCC engine working but very erratic. I can't even get numbers on my speedometer on my Android? The tablet functions seemed to work but I can't shut down the engine?

Hopefully, if you can decipher  my pictures  they may  present a clue as to what I possibly am doing wrong .

        Where does your Legacy Base ground ‘U’ cable connect to your track(s)?

Are there any new Legacy updates I should have?

Is the base wire actually connected to the tracks common/outer rails? There is a Cab-2 Legacy system in the picture, do your Lionel trains operate if you use it? When using the MTH Wi-Fi does the base red light flash to show it is actually receiving the command to be sent out?

My ground wire from Legacy station goes to my common that goes around the whole layout. The cab too and the picture is not in any use. Trains do run on my legacy remote.

If the trains run right now using the Cab-2 Legacy remote you just need to know if the Legacy base is receiving the MTH sent commands.

Do the red lights flash on the base while you are attempting to do anything via the MTH Wi-Fi? 

I really don't know what I did other than trying to pair the Wi-Fi 2 mi home router but everything seems to work. I have not yet tried running conventional and that may scare me a little. Any advice?

FWIW, these should give you a good shot at how my initial configuration is set-up, using aux power for the TIU. My recollection is that the cable between the SER-2 and the TIU must be a very specific numbered cable and that there are other cables that will fit, but they will not work.

Thank you very much for the input and pictures. I seem to be giving it to work somewhat but I am getting a lot of tiu not found or active tiu not found? I'm using an Android Samsung tablet. Also, I cannot get my home Wi-Fi network to work. The only way I can get things working is using the MTH DCS Network. Really getting frustrated with this.
