Spence, my track radius is about 080" and the cars almost touch.. I am wondering now if that is what is causing my electrical connector to keep pulling out of the recepticle. There seems to be plenty of slack but I suppose turns in both directions would act just like wiggling it. May have to super glue the connection!
MTH advertises 72" but that's a stretch. I had to send mine back to Mercer Junction. I'm very disappointed. I liked that train immensley. Oh well now I'll have to find something else.
Wow Spence sorry to hear this, I liked it a lot and was thinking about buying it but, I have 072 also. So I guess it's out for me too

As I stated I'm very disappointed. It is a real nice train. Trainguy has 080" & is having problems.
I haven't received mine yet but I am definitely worried. Didn't MTH test this on 072 first?

I am hoping mine will work passenger ceiling loop is 120 for the most part a couple of slightly tighter turnouts though high speed hope it works!
I have a long drive to hobby shop I ordered them from, so waiting till all the extra cars and train arrive I had pre ordered in 2009! Trainset arrived at shop the other day and had ordered 3 add on cars but MTH only shipped one of them??
Will wait for other 2 before making the trip to get them !
For the length of time that MTH has taken to get this trainset out to customers you would think that it would be perfect and all the bugs worked out!
MTH this better work as advertised!!!
