cant someone help out there, please

This engine when used in the semi auto mode(hold the aux 1 button down until bell and whistle) Works great until I slow down for a stop and right after the whistle blows on it own the sound quits but the engine still comes to a stop. Turn the power off and back on and sound is back on. What is the cause of this. It only does it in the trip mode and not in normal mode.
