If I had to bet, I'd say airbrush for the loco shells and maybe dry brushing on that hopper.
But that's just a guess.

Jackson, Those look great! I just tried to weather a tank with oil paints today. Nowhere near as good as yours!

Last weekend me and OGR forum member BAR GP7 #63 we organized a weathering workshop in his home by transforming his living room into a messy paintshop. No airbrush used, just diluted oil pastels and pigment powders, without graffiti this time.
BAR GP7 #63 prefers moderate weathering, but myself I like more extreme weathering. Here are our results in O, S and H0 for comparison. Enjoy...
