Lionel shows these as unavailable. Does anyone know of another source, or of another side rod screw that would work?

You may need to just call Lionel. I checked other Hudson’s of the same era and even though they had different numbers the are all unavailable. Sorry I’m of no help.
Jeff Kane, the Train Tender has them on his list, but shows them as “limited”.
