Thanks Arthur & Rob.  When checking the options, I do not see one with the built in gear  reduction mentiond above.  How important would that be in this situation?

I have used the gh35gm series from Jameco and have had good success with it.  Here's the catalog page:http://www.jameco.com/Jameco/catalogs/c123/P91.pdf

They are robust and pretty easy to mount.

Huh? They are all gear-head motors, which, by definition, have gear reduction.

P&D Hobbies has Pittman Can motors like those used in the Weaver drives.    Version with long shafts on both ends used to be available in addition to single ends.   They do mail order.    Ask for Pat.
