Does anybody have info on the lionel 165 crane. Iam looking for information on replacing the string, as well as a wiring diagram.

here's a wiring diagram I got off Olsen's site a while back.
Don't recall ever seeing an kind of repair manual on these. But if you know someone with a sample in working order, I find having that kid of reference is all that is needed.

Olsens has reference material that I have not seen elsewhere. Some of it appears to be scarce original Lionel documentation, other material appears to have been drawn up by the folks at Olsens.
In any case, they provide us with a great resource, and they have my thanks.
