Saw this for sale but manufacturer and model are unknown. I like the project side of the hobby but not so much as to make my own shell - I'd like to know where to get one off the self if possible. I searched Williams' spare parts site and I didn't see a match - at least with the product shown there. I looked a bit on the Lionel spare parts site but too many models to search them all. Anyone have any ideas?

No idea what it is, but it would make a swell boxcab electric loco!

Strange that there are no visible markings what so ever on it. Especially the frame. It could be someone did a kitbash............Paul
Relatively detailed trucks and fuel tank, could be Weaver.
Weaver is my first thought too, but K-line?.
I don't think it is a bash. Holes & slots are too nice, and I think I see a square one(right in photo) which nearly guarantees it isnt a homespun frame. Nobody makes sqaures unless there is good reason and I dont see one. And it doesn't look roughed there either.
Looks Williams to me......
Thanks, everyone. Weaver was a good hunch - by comparing images I'm now 98% sure it's a Weaver GP38-2 chassis (which unfortunately means a standalone shell will likely be hard to come by - will probably have to wait till a dummy unit came up for sale).
