need help running TMCC engine with DCS

Did you hook up the ground wire from TMCC to the TIU... And did you plug in the Serial cable the right way one side is DCS and one is TMCC

  power up steps

1. power on the TMCC

2 power on the TIU

didn't know you needed to run a separate wire, just added the jumper and nothing changed. still no response from TMCC engine.

yeah the U screw on the TMCC needs to go to the ground... did you follow the programming step correctly... do you see the green light on the TMCC flashing when you send a command?

also did you test with the CAB-1 controller to see if it runs the engine?

Yes CAB-1 runs it, actually a red light flashes on the TMCC base when I send a TMCC command or a DCS command. The only difference is the TMCC command is acknowledged and activates said function on the engine, DCS command does nothing.

When you programmed the TMCC engine into the DCS Remote, did you correctly enter the engine's TMCC ID#?

this may be the problem. I just named the engine ie LIRR RS-3 then saved it. The LIRR RS-3 came up when I scrolled for that particular engine in the remote but when called to operate, no response. How do I put that engine's TMCC # into the DCS remote?  Thanks!

Steps.

1. press Menu

2.select SYSTEM

3.Select Engine Setup

4.Select Add Engine

5.Select ADD TMCC ENGINE

6.Name your ENGINE

7. Select TMCC Address number (this is the one that it is currently programmed to)

that's it

now run your engine.
