Well, I've done it now.  The caboose cam was working as advertised, but I couldn't connect to my computer, only my Android phone.  So...I foolishly changed the cam address to my home wi-fi address, as someone suggested.  Now, NEITHER device can locate my camera.

I have tried everything I can think of:  reinstalling the software, trying all the wi-fi channels in my phone's history, checking the IPU's, following the manual's instructions again.  I'm far from an expert on the ins and outs of wi-fi, but, it seems I've incorrectly changed the cameras' address, so that none of my devices can recognize it.

Here is a shot taken with the caboose cam, to show it was working correctly.  I've many snapshots, and three videos.  They all came out fine.

The only thing I can think of is make sure you are connected to your home wi-fi connection. I connected both the Caboose and the Theater car with my home wi-fi and I can see them both using the App lionel uses to connect to your device. If all else fails reset the Caboose Camera and try again.

It almost seems like you changed the IP Address of the camera and did not connect it to your home Wi-Fi. So you may need to reset the camera anyways.

Thanks guys.  Yes, there is a reset button.  No, it didn't help my Wi-Fi find the camera.  I sure had high hopes that it would.

I can see my home Wi-Fi from the camera, and they are connected.  The camera doesn't show up on the phone, or the computer.  It used to show up on the phone, right away.  I will keep trying things, but the message from the Lionel app is that the camera is offline.  That means the app is working, but my phone can't find the camera code like it used to.   It must be a Wi-Fi setting that is blocking the signal from getting through.

I will keep trying.

I think, if I recall correctly you need to hold the Reset button for 10 seconds. Though I am not 100% certain since I can't find the manual on the work computer currently. I will double check when I get home from work though.

It may be something is blocking the signal or some security setting is causing problems.

Success.  It is working, as before.  Thanks TCochran and MrMoe50.

Having eliminated all variables with the Caboose Cam and it's software, I figured it must be my phone's Wi-Fi.  Since everything else was working with it, I simply hit the phone restart button.  Powered on, but, still nothing.  Held the Caboose's restart button for 10 full seconds, waited 2 minutes, and there it was.

I still can't get it to connect with my computer, but, I'll simply download good videos from my phone.   You gotta love the OGR Forum.
