I used a heat gun. (a super hair drier) The parts are relatively thick, it may require a couple of heat applications to get the desired (flat/straight) part. Usually more problems with very old kits.

It would be best to contact Rich Redman at Korber since this is the newer style plastic. If the walls are badly warped Rich may just replace them. He did this for me with one kit in which I had problems with mold defects. The heat gun works great on the old style kits but I believe that was a different kind of plastic. With this kit too much heat just may warp or melt the plastic.
